Airports in Fiji
Nadi International Airport (NAN)
Overview
Fiji's main airport and the primary gateway to the island nation's fantastic beaches and tourist hotspots, Nadi International Airport is located about six miles (10km) from the city of Nadi. Processing roughly 1.2 million passengers each year on 30 international flights per day, Nadi International Airport is a basic facility with friendly service and a festive atmosphere, with local bands playing welcome music to arriving guests.
That said, the airport is sometimes overwhelmed at peak times, and long queues can be an issue. Luckily there is a massage parlour and hot showers available to refresh tired travellers.
Flights to Nadi International Airport come in from cities across Asia and Oceania, with a few flights from the US, including Sydney, Seoul, Brisbane, Auckland, Christchurch, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Wellington.
Location
The airport is situated on the west coast of Viti Levu, six miles (10km) from Nadi Town.
Getting to the city
Local buses provide a service to Nadi centre and on to Suva. Many hotels and guesthouses also provide pre-arranged transport for their guests. Taxis are available outside the terminal.
Time
Local time is GMT +12.
