Entry requirements for Americans: US citizens require a passport to enter Gibraltar but no visa is necessary.

Entry requirements for UK nationals: UK nationals require a passport, except those in possession of a valid national identity card. No visa is required.

Entry requirements for Canadians: Canadian citizens require a passport to enter Gibraltar but no visa is necessary.

Entry requirements for Australians: Australian nationals require a passport to enter Gibraltar but no visa is necessary.

Entry requirements for South Africans: South Africans require a passport and a visa to enter Gibraltar.

Entry requirements for New Zealanders: New Zealand nationals require a passport to enter Gibraltar but no visa is necessary.

Entry requirements for Irish nationals: Irish nationals require a passport, except those in possession of a valid national identity card. No visa is required.

Passport/Visa Note: Visitors requiring a visa to enter Spain should be aware that by crossing into Gibraltar they have officially left Spain and will require a new visa to cross back over the border. Visitors with a multiple entry visa for the UK and those with indefinite leave to stay in the UK do not require a separate visa for Gibraltar. Visa-exempt visitors will be issued an entry permit to cover the period of stay, for short stays.
