Tripoli International Airport (TIP)

Location: The airport is situated 19 miles (30km) south of Tripoli. Time: GMT +2. Contacts: Tel: +218 (0)22 605 026 Transfer between terminals: There is currently only one terminal for both international and national travel, though expansion and modernisation of the airport has begun. Transfer to the city: Unless transport has been arranged with a tour operator prior to arrival, taxis are the principal means of transport to the city. Facilities: Facilities include duty-free shopping, a restaurant, prayer room, business lounge and currency exchange. Departure tax: 6LD on international flights; 3LD on domestic flights.
