Every day is sunny and hot in Qatar, and rain is a rare occurrence, the average annual precipitation (which falls during winter) being only three inches (80mm). Summers are swelteringly hot, the mercury regularly rising to 104°F (40°C) and beyond. Winter days are only slightly cooler, but nights can be fairly cold. The best time to visit Qatar is between November and early March, when the daytime termperates are not too fierce, and the risk of sand storms is minimal.
