Climate

The weather in Senegal is consistently hot and humid throughout the year, with a wet and a dry season. Humidity is very high during the rainy season, between June and October, and the sea temperatures are very warm. The rain comes in the form of short, heavy downpours which can cause localised flooding. Rainfall is heaviest in the south. The dry season, between November and May, is very hot.
