Entry requirements for Americans: Visas are not required for holiday travel by US passport holders for periods of 30 days or less. Those arriving at overland crossings will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days.
Entry requirements for UK nationals: Visas are not required for travel by UK passport holders endorsed British Citizen, or British National (Overseas) issued in Hong Kong, for periods of 30 days or less; those arriving at overland crossings will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days. Other UK passport holders require a visa.
Entry requirements for Canadians: Visas are not required for travel by Canadian passport holders for periods of 30 days or less. Those arriving at overland crossings will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days.
Entry requirements for Australians: Visas are not required for travel by Australian passport holders for periods of 30 days or less. Those arriving at overland crossings will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days.
Entry requirements for South Africans: South Africans do not require a visa for touristic visits of up to 30 days. Those arriving at overland crossings, however, will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days.
Entry requirements for New Zealanders: New Zealand nationals do not require a visa for touristic visits of up to 30 days. Those arriving at overland crossings will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days.
Entry requirements for Irish nationals: Irish passport holders do not require a visa for touristic visits of up to 30 days. Those arriving at overland crossings will only be given visa free entry valid for 15 days.
Passport/Visa Note: All nationalities require passports valid for at least six months. Travellers entering Thailand are required to prove they have sufficient funds to cover the length of their stay, and are recommended to hold documentation for return/onward travel. If issued a visa prior to arrival, travellers are permitted to travel on a one-way ticket.
