Climate

Uruguay's climate is generally temperate with warm to hot summers and mild winters. Summer temperatures average from 70-82°F (21-28°C), often reaching above 90°F (32°C) along the coast, while winters are usually between 50-61°F (10-16°C). January is typically the hottest month, and June the coldest. Rainfall can occur throughout the year, but autumn is usually the wettest time of year. Thunderstorms are frequent in summer.
