Airports in Connecticut
Bradley International Airport (BDL)
Overview
Located halfway between the state of Connecticut's largest cities (Hartford and Springfield), Bradley International Airport (BDL) processes more than 350 daily flights, and - with about 5 million annual passengers - it is officially the state's busiest airport. The airport is also home to the Bradley Air National Guard Base. Bradley Airport is a busy, though efficient hub, and makes for a reasonably pleasant and stress-free introduction to Connecticut. If you've got some time to kill while waiting for your outbound flight, be sure to check out the New England Air Museum. With more than 75,000 square feet of exhibition space, showcasing exhibits on war planes, the history of air mail, and the famous Tuskegee Airmen, you'll find that your waiting-time becomes easily beguiled. The museum is open daily, from 10am to 5pm.
Location
The airport is located 12 miles (19 km) north of Hartford.
