The climate in England can be erratic and unpredictable, but usually summers are warm and winters are cold, with temperatures milder than those on the continent. In winter, temperatures rarely drop below 32°F (0°C), and in summer, they very seldom reach 90°F (32°C), hovering more around 75°F (24°C). Thought the wettest months, July and August tend to be the warmest, while January and February are the coldest. Rainfall tends to be distributed throughout the year fairly evenly, though late winter/early spring (February to March) is the driest period. The Lake District is England's wettest region.
