Four seasons mark Indiana's climate with hot and humid summers, cold snowy winters, and a wet and windy spring. Autumn is sunny and warm and generally the best time to travel to Indiana. Temperatures vary from the north to the south, the north being modified by the presence of Lake Michigan. The annual temperature in the north is between 49°F-58°F (9-12°C) and temperatures hover around 57°F (14°C) in the south.
