Airports in Iowa
A relatively small facility, Des Moines International Airport is located three miles (5km) from central Des Moines, and is a convenient gateway to Iowa and the Midwest.
Processing fewer than two million passengers each year, the airport is basic but very well-run, with a friendly Midwestern attitude and a refreshing lack of long queues. Though amenities are not flashy and luxury brands are noticeably absent, there are a good selection of basic shops and restaurants.
Flights to Des Moines International Airport are available from cities across the US, including busy routes to Chicago, Denver and Minneapolis.
The airport is located five miles (8km) from downtown Des Moines.
