Climate

New Jersey has cold winters and warm, humid summers. The temperature in the northwestern hills is colder in winter and milder in summer than the rest of the state. January is the coldest month with temperatures reaching about 30ºF (-1°C) and August is the hottest month with temperatures reaching 80ºF (27ºC).
