Hi eaglebob, Delta used to fly direct from Hartsfield to Tortola, not sure if this still operates. However airlines like American and Windward can take you from Atlanta to Miami, then San Juan (Puerto Rico), then catch a connecting flight or ferry to Tortola. Plan to spend a full day travelling there.

Delta does fly directly to San Juan, PR from Atlanta, so you can probably skip that stop in Miami.

The best way to get to Tortola from Atlanta is on Delta!
Fly Delta direct to St Thomas (STT) a 3.5 hour flight. Then, take a ferry to Tortola. I like the Roadtown fast ferry AKA Tortola fast ferry. They go directly from St Thomas to Road Town Tortola in 50 minutes without stopping in St. John. It costs about $45 per person round trip and it's a nice leisurely way to begin and end your trip. The prices will be less than going through SanJuan and you will cut your travel time in half!! Good Luck!
