I am shortly going to Costa da Caparica, but have been advised that to get a taxi from Lisbon airport to the resort is very expensive and the taxi drivers will rip off tourists. Can anyone suggest an economical way to get there

You can reach Caparica from Lisbon with the public transport is easy. During the summer buses run directly from Campo Grande, and during the year a short ferry journey takes you from Praça do Comércio to Cacilhas, from where you catch a bus marked Caparica. Hope this helps.
