My husband and I are both retired and are planning to go to Agadir or Essaquira, Morocco for an extended stay.
Our retirement is directly deposited into our bank accounts.
We bank with Bank of America.
Will we have any problems using the ATMs in these cities?

You must notify your bank that you intend to use ATM's in Morocco as they may suspect fraudulent activity and put a block on further usage of the card; best take two ATM cards and a few credit cards and make a note of all contact numbers for card issuers.
The numbers are usually free to call (reverse charged) but tell the hotel this otherwise you will pay a small fortune for long-distance calls.
By all means go to Agadir but not for too long, it's a bit staid with little going on; most people do day trips from here, Essaouira being one.
I always advocate people to go to Essaouira for two if not three days/nights.

Maps available - get in touch.

Thanks so much for your help.
We were planning to see Fes, Tangier, Essaouira, & Merrakech.
We are really looking for some quiet, by ourselves time away from the states so actually "a bit staid" might be just the ticket.
Anyway, thank you so much for your advice.
