My husband and I both want to start a new life in Germany. We have narrowed it down to Frankfurt. However, it is costly. We will be saving for the next 2 1/2 years then moving. I know for the US the outskirts of any major city is more affordable and has opportunity.

My question is where is the best place near Frankfurt that is affordable to start a life and family?

I think that every place can be the best if you like it and feel comfortable there.
