I am looking for advice on doing a tour of France battlefields from World War 1 and 2. I want to see the Normandy landing beaches, Maghinot line, Dunkirk perhaps and any other sights of significance. Is it best to do this as an organised tour or via self-drive with a guide book? Any good guides or books, please recommend. I have 1 week to spend on this part of the trip. Any advice or experiences appreciated, thank you. BB

I suggest: Contact ledger Tours (UK) email: reservations @ledger.co.uk.
They have have different battlefield tours - duration 4 days about 239pounds ex any point in England. Includes hotels, coach, and tour.
You can get a brochure of the internet.
