If you are going here in Turkey as a tourist, as any other countries that requires visa, you should have documents to support your intent to travel and show money that you can support yourself when you travel. In my own personal experience getting visa, the maximum length of stay they allow for tourist is up to 15 days only. If you intend to stay longer than that, you could extend it when you are already in Turkey. Maybe, a thousand or two would be fine. It depends on how much you want to explore when you get here. I must warn you. Not too many people can speak english in here. You should also be careful, since we are from Asia, that most men here are very intimidating. They always think that we come her as prostitute. Shocking but true. So just be very careful.

Dear ming;
I read and very sad about the things that Alona wrote. Ofcurse there are many prostitutes at here but also there are many tourist walking around safely. I don't think that you will get any difficulties about english at main areas. I know thailand and speaking english at here is much more than thailand.
Ok, your question; I think how much is very depend that your choices. But in antanlya for eaxmple you could stay at an avarage 5star hotel with all inclusive hotel for $100. If you want to travel istanbul for example, there are small butiqie hotels that you could stay avarage $50-60 and you will pay $25-40 food for one day at a normal reasturant.
If you have specific questions I could relpy.. with regards..

Hi Guys...

I'm Ella from Cebu, Philippines. I'm gonna be in Turkey in the coming weeks to officially meet up with my bf's family in Istanbul. I'll be entering as a tourist but my fiance already had my residency permit of 6 months approved. I've called almost all travel agencies back here for the cheapest flight to Turkey from Cebu/Manila. I've already toured sites for the same reason as well but still I can't decide on which route to take. Can you advice me on the best airline company, fare-wise without sacrificing on quality as well. Hope it won't be to much to ask. Thanks a lot!!! PEACE!

Hi Ella! Im also from Cebu, Philippines. I just got here in Izmir, Turkey 8 months ago and I came here through Turkish Airlines and I think the price was quite resonable and the service is very good too :) Good luck on your travel!

Hi I've been reading the postings and amazed how many filipinas would want to travel to turkey. Im a filipina as well but living in USA. I went to Istanbul April 2008 and met with my bf. It's easier for me to travel to Turkey without worrying about visa since i am a US citizen. Istanbul is an enchanted place and I recommend to visit Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. The locals are friendly and respectful based from my experience. I wish u luck for those who wants to travel to Turkey soon. Be careful and stay safe...:0)

hi
just been to turkey with my wife, first time, for 7 nights and stayed in Kalkan along the mediterranean coast of turkey. it was pretty amazing! this part of turkey is still relatively unspoilt... er if you take the trouble of travelling outside your "holiday village"... eg we went on a canoe trip organised by a local , along a stretch of a river with wild ducks, birds, turtles, yes, turtles and lots everywhere, stopping off to have a bbq with a local family and then later on joined by 3 local boys(8-10 yrs?) hitching a ride to the end of the trip - only stopping off to have a mud bath.
having a uk passport was a big advantage as you just pay 10 pounds for a visa on arrival at the airport. if visiting uk, there are fairly cheap packages available but no knowledge ex manila. as anywhere else, if you respect local customs and traditions they you'll be ok....not forgetting that it is a muslim country but more liberal than any middle eastern country including dubai!
