My husband is looking at a teaching job in Lugano, however the salary is only about $45,000. Is the cost of living in this town that mush lower than the rest of Switzerland, which is quite expensive?

I think $45.000 is not so much for Switzerland.
Lugano is an expensive city. So for one person it's okey if you find a cheap appartment.
But for 2 People it's not enough
