  • I suggest you apply for a Russian 12 month multiple business visa. Various specialist travel agents in London can arrange the necessary invitation from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs via accredited Russian companies. One such travel agent is Overseas Business Travel in London 020 7723 6999. Possibly, but only possibly, the first multiple business visa MAY be valid only for 3 months, thereafter each is valid for 12 months.
  • hi there GPTW thanks for your reply,, i have read about the business visa, and the part about getting an invitation sounds easy, But it also says i will need to provide a "letter of introduction" from my company, thats where everything stops, where will i get this letter, the company i work for at the moment will never provide this letter,,,,so now what do i do?
  • Hi, As you correctly say the embassy in London will need a letter stating that you are an employee of xyz company, that you are required to travel regularly to Russia on company business and that whilst in Russia all costs and expenses will be covered by XYZ company. You also need to show your employer's name and address on the visa application. I am not aware that the embassy ever checks on the company issuing the letter of introduction - that may be one way round it if you have a company letterhead. Possibly OBT can advise if you dont want to go down that slippery road.. Another way is to say you are self-employed, but then you may need to submit bank statements.

I cannot advise on registration in Moscow. I am aware that in practice many non-Moscow Russians and foreigners live in Moscow without registration. But it can become complicated if you need to visit doctors, hospitals etc and are not rich enough to by-pass the regulations. Good luck.
  • THANKS FOR THE INFO HARRY,,,AND THE GOOD LUCK,,,I'LL NEED IT I THINK,
  • Hi there i'm back again,,i have registered a limited company with companies house, and i have a company registration number, as this is my company and i am the director of the company, can i submit a letter from my own company,, even though the company has the same address as my private address
  • I would not anticipate any problems submitting a letter from your registered company. I would recommend that the person signing the support letter is someone different from yourself.

( I have problems replying to you. I get automatic reply that I do not have permission to add comments to discussion).
  • Possibly I had not signed on properly. Problem resolved
  • Thanks for that info , i will now go ahead and apply, i will post the results in a few weeks,,thanks again,,dean
  • HI THERE,, I HAVE GOT MY INVITATION,(220 POUNDS) AND SENT ALL THE DOCUMENTS TO VFS,PLUS ANNOTHER 220 POUNDS,,I SHOULD GET MY VISA SOON,,,NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO IS,,,,,,,,,,,DO IT ALL AGAIN WITH MY SECOND PASSPORT,,,

WHICH BRINGS UP ANOTHER QUESTION,, AFTER 90 DAYS,, CAN I JUST GO THROUGH THE CUSTOMS AT THE BORDER WITH ESTONIA,,,AND COME STRAIGHT BACK IN ON MY SECOND PASSPORT,,,THEN DRIVE BACK TO MOSCOW,,,,
  • OH YES, ONE MORE THING,
I WILL NEED TO FILL IN A MIGRATION CARD, WILL THIS BE IN ESTONIAN AND RUSSIAN? I THINK IT WILL BE , BEING AS I WILL BE IN ESTONIA
