    I have the same problem. Does anyone know where I can check this? I'll be flying from the US to France.

    A uk passport holder can travel to France, providing that the passport is still valid on the day of their return

    I telephoned passport office and was given a website which I cannot remember sorry, but a UK passport holder can fly to France so long as passport is valid on he day of return flight. A US holder may be different and may require to be still valid for 6 months.
