what is the weather like in Venice around mid October?

I am planning a holiday but if the weather is horrendous it may be worth waiting a few months.

We visited Venice 24/10/2008, the weather was bright but quite cold. We needed coats and scarfs. Hope this helps.

The weather has gone awol and Venice is at the moment under water. February in previous years has been reasonably dry, and with the Carnevale running in full fledge, a little rain here and there doesn't fray the temper of the visitors who marvel at the beautiful celebration.Trainers yes and nice shoes for the wedding, see other post for advice.
