Business VISA for 8 weeks

Hi,
I am a Chinese passport holder residing in the UK currently. I need to go to Bahrain on business for about 8 weeks. It seems from the embassy's website that I can apply for the VISA on arrival, but only for two weeks.
Is it possible to extend the VISA while I'm in Bahrain?
