Best way to get from Newark (NY) to Philadelphia (PA) on land?

What's the best and cheapest way to get to Philadelphia from Newark? I don't want to fly so what's the quickest way for me to get there on land besides taking a cab?
Amtrak, Greyhound, rent a car?
Has anyone done this journey recently that has some good avice for me?
