passport validity to st lucia

Hi, I need to know how much validity is required on my passport to enter st lucia. I am travelling on the 21st may , back on the 4th june, my British passport is due to expire on the 30th August, is this acceptable to travel with?

i contacted the fco foreign and commonwealth office who said i only need the passport to be valid for the duration of my stay
maybe call them for calification 020 7008 1500
