I'm really interested in find a restaurant or bar in Kalkan where I can enjoy either a meal and some drinks with my friends and watch some authentic Turkish belly dancing. Anyone got any suggestions for me?
The Samira Hotel has professional Turkish belly dancers and also organises BBQ nights and Turkish nights. Other places also put on Turkish nights with belly dancers. They hold authentic Turkish music nights in Belgin's Kitchen with real Turkish musicians often leading to impromptu belly dancing. There are many trips which can be taken from Kalkan including superb boat trips with lunch provided. If Diving is your pleasure there are a number of dive schools which are Padi registered. Saklikent gorge and canyon are worth a visit if you enjoy an adventure. A day trip to Arykanda is an amazing experience or the green lakes in the mountains behind Kalkan - water so cold its almost ice. There are a number of fresh trout restaurants hugging the valley side in Ishlamlar above Kalkan where you are over the gorge and river whilst enjoying fresh trout with a cool breeze giving some respite from the heat. The variety of activities should please everyone. see my website www.turkeyvillarental.com for more information and photo galleries.
