Eligibility of Passport for EU visa

I am having an Indian Passport (20 years) issued in 1997 and valid upto 2017. For my official (PSU) visit to Spain, do I need to have Passport reissued since the present one is more than 10 years old? What type of visa I should apply for visiting France, Italy and England after my job(25 day) in Spain?
