Visiting America as a UK Citizen-what do I need?

    Hello, hope you can help.

    I want to visit my friend in Baltimore for 5 days in either January or February. I'm 23 and have a valid British passport. What do I need or can I just book a flight and go, presenting my passport? Will I be able to go at all?

    What you need to do is log onto the US government's ESTA website and fill out a quick form. This usually gets reviewed in a few minutes but they say to do it at least three days in advance. After they give you clearence you are on your way.

    beware with the above. My daughter who wants to visit America were her partner was born was refused a visa because she could not show enough ties to Britain.
