What is there to do in the Dominican Republic?
  • We are going on holiday to the Dominican Republic at the beginning of next year and will be there for just over a week. It would be great to get advice on what to do while we are there - we are happy to spend a few days around the pool, but would like to explore the island as well and find remote beaches, discover old towns and get away from other tourists - is this possible? We fly into Puerto Plata and will be staying near there. Should we visit Santa Domingo and Santiago? What about Samana? It would be great to get some advice on this and what else to do in the Dominican Republic - our travel agent didnt have much clue other than advice on the hotel. Thanks.
