Travelling to East Timor, want more information about safety in East Timor. Is there a lot of crime and petty theft or is it safe for tourists to travel there? What sort of crime should I look out for?

I've heard that it's a beautiful country full of really friendly people and that I shouldn't worry about crime and all those negative things, but I just wanted to post on a couple of forums to double check people's opinions.
