Advice need for trip to Larnaca, Cyprus

I am traveling to Larnaca on 25th December, since it is my first trip there, please advice which places to visit and what to do... anyone knows if historical places are open during X-mass holiday or not?

Larnaca is a great town, but if you want new year's partying I would head down to Ayia Napa which is the Cyprus version of Ibiza and great for partying and having fun.

For anyone traveling to Cyprus over the xmas period, let me just say that most entertainment establishments and quite a lot of restuarants close from the end of October to the end of April.
