Is it safe to travel to Northeast China as it's so close to the Korean peninsula?

    I have some friends who want to go to Harbin, Heilongjiang and Jilin to ski and do some other winter activities. But it sounds the situation in the Korean Peninsula is quite tense these days. It is still Okay to go?

    Hello, just got back from a visit to Beijing. we did a three day trip to Shenyang which is much close to N. korea then harbin. Great trip and would do it again. A must see part of China.
