Comments on "Hybrid" Visa for +90 day stay
  • As part of our final thesis our school sends us abroad to effectively carry out a study that we have proposed and have had accepted by the faculty and school board. Our particular group will be in Berlin for the majority of the time, which consists of a 14 week (98 days) stay or longer.

I have come to the conclusion that we need to apply for the "hybrid" visa given most often to long term business adventures and scientist for studies. From the information I have gathered it seems it could take 3+ months to receive the visa after submitting the appropriate paperwork (as stated by the German Mission).

Does anyone have any insight on how long or tedious the process could actually be to acquire this visa?
