Things for kids to do in Durban?

    What children's attractions are there in Durban? I'm trying to convince my cousin to bring his family along on a vacation in South Africa, and they have a 5-year-old daughter. He's not convinced there are enough things for kids to do in Durban to make it a worthwhile thing, and he googled it and only found a snake park, which I've found out is even closed! Are there things for kids to do in Durban?

    Renee you should send him a link to the Word Travels Durban Kids Attractions guide. Kids will find uShaka Marine world tons of fun, with lots of rides and slides etc.

    Apart from swimming the sea and enjoying the beautiful beaches, uShaka World is your best bet. When I went as a child I also remember enjoying the Umgeni River Bird Park (it was called something else back in my youth!).

    Take them to the Sharks board for a dissection of shark. Really fascinating what they find in there!
