Travelling to Budapest

I'm travelling to Budapest 25th - 28th Feb and my passport expires mid March. Will I have to renew it before I go or will it be valid for the trip

Hi, basically you should have the passport valid at least 6 more months from the day your travel starts, but to be sure you should check with the authorities in your country.
Have a great stay in Budapest, think of Bucharest too :)

I am travelling to Budapest mid march and hoping to bring my 7 year old son. Does he need a passport? I have valid UK passport but my sons Irish passport has expired. Both now resident in UK. Would appreciate advice. Thanks
