Driving the Aegean coast

Hi.We plan in Sept.to ferry across from Rhodes to Marmaris and rent a car to drive up to Izmir and beyond by coastal roads, seeing all the little bays and staying and eating at small family run places. Can anyone offer advice on this?
We are finding maps of the smaller coastal roads hard to find and don't want to get lost ALL the time....
Info on towns,pensions,cafes etc. most welcome........thanks

Road maps are quite difficult to get before you arrive here. Is there anywhere in particular you want to visit (or avoid!)? Have you got a general idea of where you want to visit then possibly some more suggestions may come your way. I have driven from Bodrum to Selcuk via Milas and the signposting is excellent!!

We've driven that way too, last year .
This time we would like to follow the coast on small roads - Datca,Didim,Karine,Dikili etc.
