Driving to Cyprus from the UK

I intend to drive from England to Cyprus in 2012, as anyone out there already done this if so can you offer any advice, I can plot my way through Europe but undecided on what ferry to get and from which port.

Hopefully someone can recommend a tried and tested route as that's definately what you will need.

I have found them helpful in the past and they may be able to steer you in the right direction.
