Best beaches in the canary islands?

What are the best beaches in the Canaries, in terms of beauty, swimming conditions and not too developed with resorts and high-rises. I am looking at Sotovento near Costa Calma - some say this is the best of the lot. Any advice?

That's a nice one, but have you ever been in Costa Blanca, Spain? Those are my favourite places, and Villajoyosa is my favourite. Beaches with "the blue flag", plenty of places to eat fancy and it seems that tourism hasn't arrived yet. I would like to write in the correct forum but I can't find it...
