B1/B2 Visa OK for St Maarten???

I am travelling to St Maarten on a South African passport, and heard recently that the B1/B2 visa is ok?

I will be flying in, then joining a yacht for leisure.

Wanting to travel to st Maarten as well ! Also have southafrica passport with b1 b2 visa. Did you not need a French or Netherlands visa ? Do you know I'f you can get one type of visa to enter all the carribean islands?
