Best time and place to go horse-riding in Argentina?

Hi there,
I'd like to go on a horse-riding holiday in Argentina, I've heard very good things about the estancias and the quality of the riding, the accommodation, food etc. but I've also heard Argentina can be very expensive, is this true? Especially since I'd like to spend a few days in Buenos Aires as well on my way in or out.

Well, Argentina is a lovely place to stay in. I love to go there. But if budget is tight better to postpone it have it bigger.
