MUST DO and MUST SEE in Thailand

    My wife and I intend visiting Thailand in Feb 2013 - are there any MUST SEE places and MUST DO things that anyone would like to share with us?
    We also would like to stay with locals to experience the culture - any experiences and ideas?

    depend where you are going. bangkok is a very good place to shop! their stuffs are cheap and good!

    If you want to experience Thai culture beyond the neon lights of Bangkok, I'd suggest going north to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. YOu can go on Hill Tribe Treks, and many tour operators can organise a homestay. These cities also have some truly beautiful temples you shouldn't miss.
