Getting to Bhutan

    I've always wanted to go to Bhutan and would like to get plans for a trip started. I've heard that trips to Bhutan can be quite expensive though, and that they have to be organized through a travel agent. Is this true? If so, which travel agents are the ones that provide services to Bhutan?

    Travelling in Bhutan is expensive, as the Royal Government sets a minimum price per day (US$250/US$200 in low season) for all international tourists. Any travel agent or tour operator with experience in Bhutan will be familiar with these requirements, or you can find the information on the Tourism Council of Bhutan website.
