Off the Beaten Track in the Caribbean

Hi!
I'm really keen to explore a part of the Caribbean at some point but I'm not interested in the resorts and crowded tourist beaches... I was hoping somebody could advise me about unspoiled islands good for eco-tourism and outdoor stuff where you can still get an 'authentic' Caribbean vibe. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

My top recommendation for adventurous, eco-travel in the Caribbean is Dominica. You may recognise the stunning natural landscapes from Pirates of the Caribbean! It's still relatively neglected by tourists and it is a paradise for hikers, kayakers, divers etc. Check out this basic Dominica Travel Guide to see what I mean.
