Freidrichstradt Palace Theatre, Berlin photo

The Friedrichstadtpalast was built from 1981-84 and is the most prominent example of GDR post-modernism and one of the highlights of the slab construction method. The large auditorium seats an audience of 1,900 and is equipped with all the technical finery, including a lift platform on the front part of the stage.
